Isabelle Grimm is thrilled to make her Sunstone debut! A Bay Area Native, she has previously appeared in Oregon in Upon the King with Penguin Productions. Bay Area Credits include: Measure for Measure and Twelfth Night (Marin Shakespeare Company), Titus Andronicus, Measure for Measure, and Macbeth (Theatre Lunatico), Two Gentlemen of Verona, Twelfth Night, Henry IV Part I, The Miser, and The Comedy of Errors (Curtain Theatre). She earned her BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University and attended Shakespeare & Company’s Month-Long Intensive in Lenox, Massachusetts. KJ Snyder (any/all) is thrilled to be in his second season with Sunstone. Originally from VA, KJ moved to Portland in 2024 from Chicago, where he played at The Second City, iO, and Annoyance Theatre. In Portland, KJ’s credits include OAT’s ‘The Winter’s Tale’ (Florizell, Antigonus), Sunstone’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ (Romeo), Imago’s ‘Design for Living’ (Leo), and ETP’s ‘Macbeth’ (Macbeth). Meg started their theater career at the age of three months playing baby Jesus, and they haven't stopped acting since. You may have seen them grace various stages around Portland in RUR: Rossum's Universal Robots at Lakewood Center for the Arts, A Winter's Tale with Oregon Adventure Theater, VIRAL at the 2025 Fertile Ground Festival or My Gay Grandfather was Abducted by Aliens at the 2026 Fertile Ground Festival. They also are a member of the Deep End Theater ensemble. Next up they will be playing Marsden and Narracot in Experience Theater Project's production of And Then There Were None and reprising their role in My Gay Grandfather was Abducted by Aliens for the Stage Fright festival. Caitlin Rose (she/they) is so grateful to be a part of Sunstone Theatre’s Twelfth Night (or What You Will) ensemble as Viola/Cesario. Having earned their MFA in acting from FSU/Asolo Conservatory, Rose is specialized in & called to the niche of gender-fluid identity in Shakespeare, playing leading men and the breeches roles, namely as Romeo in Shakespeare & Company’s Summer 2025 production of Romeo & Juliet. Previous PDX credits: Hamlet in Rose City Stage Company’s Hamlet and Gilda in Imago Theatre’s Design for Living. Caitlin is ever-after thankful for Jody’s love and support. Awe and gratitude to Jake and the whole Sunstone Theatre crew for a truly delightful, safe, actor-empowering, creative process. Gillian is excited to return to Illyria after recently appearing as Maria (Twelfth Night, Speculative Drama). Other credits include Antipholus in Comedy of Errors (Speculative Drama), Queen Aggravain in Once Upon a Mattress (Theater in the Grove), Ulla in The Producers (Lyric Theatre Company), and Susan in Company (Stowe Theatre Guild).

Tony Pascalar (Valentine/Officer Diritto) (he/him) is excited to make his professional Debut with Sunstone! Tony is a Junior Theatre Arts and Secondary Education major with a Musical Theatre minor from Woodburn, Oregon. His previous work includes The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (Luke), Macbeth (Macduff), and Alice by Heart (Alfred/White Rabbit). Also, stay on the lookout at Gallery theatre in McMinnville where Tony will playing Clifford Bradshaw in Cabaret. He would love to thank his friends and family for always encouraging him to pursue his passions. Thank you for supporting the arts and aspiring artists!

Sarah Magen (they/she) is thrilled to make her Sunstone Theatre debut! Having recently moved to Portland, Sarah is honored to have been a mentee with Third Rail Repertory Theatre this past season playing a CPO officer in the main stage production of A Mirror, and performing in the mentorship company’s productions of Men on Boats and Until I Taught Them About The Stars. Sarah holds a BFA in Acting from Emerson College. You can see them perform next in Wizard of Floyd at Chapel Theatre! Sarah would like to express endless gratitude for her partner Victoria, whose support helped make Sarah’s recommitment to theatre and participation in this show possible.

Emily Smith (any pronouns) is a writer, performer, and all around theatre artist. They hold a BA in Theatre from Pacific University, and a certificate from the Institute for Contemporary Performance at PETE. She is the producer of the Instant Theatre Festival at Pacific University, as well as the resident costume designer for the department.

Viola Stancil is excited to be joining Sunstone for the first time! As an incoming student to Southern Oregon University, Viola is focused on a Digital Cinema Production path. Some past shows they’ve worked on include Experience Theatre Project’s Macbeth as Assistant Stage Manager, and Portland Community College’s 12 Angry Jurors as Juror #1. Viola would like to thank Morgan Bailey and Heath Koerschgen for inspiring her to pursue theatre, as well as Jake Merriman and Mark Easby for heightening their love of Shakespeare… and you for supporting live theatre! @hay_viola

Katie Mortemore started her acting career with Shakespeare at the age of nine; she is thrilled to be continuing with the Bard’s fabulous work. She received her BA in Theatre from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR with her senior capstone being a 2-person production of Macbeth. Since then, Katie has appeared in at least nine other Shakespeare productions, amongst other, non-Bard works. She is thrilled to add one more to her repertoire. Some of her favorite roles include Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew, Miranda in The Tempest, and Camillo in The Winter’s Tale. She would like to thank Stephen and Ash for their love and support.

Kalin Harlowe (all pronouns) is bringing the party to Illyria as Sir Toby! They have delighted in storytelling through theatre and music since childhood, and earned their Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre in 2012. Since she moved from the mountains of Virginia to Portland in 2017, you might have seen her in Curious Comedy’s musical improv shows “Musical!: the Musical” and “Dropped Notes,” or playing in several short-play festivals at Chapel Theater. Kalin is constantly bewildered with gratitude for the support of his many human and animal loved ones, the ability to move his body in unruly ways, and the earthworms he finds in the garden. Catch them this summer cooking up magical musical comedy all over town with their improv troupe Easy Bake Coven!

Emilia Belen Barrera is excited and honored to join the cast of Twelfth Night or What You Will as Allegra, the Priest, and the Musician! Emilia loves performing. Emilia has performed for the Portland Art Museum, the Schnitzer Concert Hall, and many more gigs/intensives abroad. During college, Emilia decided to explore theatre and eventually studied in London and at other colleges. Recent credits include Un Camino De Fe at the Portland Opera, Frontières Sans Frontières, Undertow, a Musical, Animal Farm, and Twelfth Night. When not performing, they can be found inside the gym, running, practicing their craft, or hanging out with friends/family. I hope you enjoy the show soon. Thank you.

Kate Belden wants to say thank you to Sunstone for trusting a new-to-them actor and Jake for trusting a friend, Oregon Adventure Theatre for trusting their Technical Director to multi-task this summer, Laura Belden for trusting her child at a Shakespeare show while very young, and Ryan Westwood for trusting his partner to get home safe and feeding the cats.

Jake Merriman is a theater (with an "er") director/educator/actor who is grateful to be working with Sunstone and this cast and crew on Twelfth Night or What You Will. He wishes he could just call it "What You Will" because the play has nothing to do with Twelfth Night, but concedes that's a marketing nightmare. Jake Merriman can't believe how blessed he is with all the talent he's working with and is imagining he's getting away with something. He would rather write something silly than just give you a cv and he only has 125 words to work with so he can't do both. Jake wonders if "director/educator/actor" counts as one word or three and is just about to find out.

Sarah McGregor (she/her) is so grateful to be involved in this production of Twelfth Night after several years away from the theatre. She has worked as an actor, singer, director, teacher and dramaturg, and particularly enjoyed directing Shakespeare in the prison system. Special thanks to Jake and Sunstone for the opportunity. Julia is pleased to serve as the costume designer for Twelfth Night, or What You Will. She is a double major in Theatre Arts and Business Administration, concentrating in Operations and Business Analytics, at the University of Oregon. Her previous design credits include production wardrobe for The Addams Family and Much Ado About Nothing. She expresses her gratitude to the production team, cast, and crew for this collaborative opportunity.

Lex Bolsinger is a professional artist doing work in the Pacific Northwest. They’ve been involved in stunt work as well as Theatrical Fight Chorogaphy for more than a decade. Their most notable fight choro credits include Spring Awakening, King Lear, and Macbeth. They have worked with companies such a Valley Shakespeare Theatre Company, Salem Playhouse, and Pentacle Theatre. Their academic achievements have been from Western Oregon University receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and certification for fight choreography by the SAFD. Molly has been a theatre practitioner for over 25 years as an actor, director, deviser, teaching artist and vocal coach, and is on the Board of Oregon Adventure Theatre. She is thrilled to be offering guidance for the Intimate moments of this show. Molly has done Intimacy work with Experience Theatre Project, Shake&Pop, and has trained with Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE), Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC), the Association of Mental Health Coordinators (AMHC), and is a member of the Pacific Northwest Theatrical Intimacy Collective (PNWTI). Molly approaches Theatrical Intimacy from the lens of a facilitator offering tools to meet the needs of everyone involved in the production. Flinch J. Read (Any/All) is a PDX based producer, director, visual artist, and performer who has greatly enjoyed working with Sunstone to bring their season together this year! After graduating from Reed College in 2024, Flinch has spent his time writing and producing original pieces like "Exemplar" (Fertile Ground 2025); bringing queer stories to life acting in the plays of Mikki Gillette; and devising clown performance pieces with her clown group. They hope you enjoy all the work the Sunstone team has put into this production of "Twelfth Night, or What you Will" , and look forward to seeing you out and about at other local art events this year!

Madeline Gray (Stage Manager) is pleased to be stage managing her second Sunstone Production. She is a Senior at the University of Oregon studying Art and Theater Arts with a focus in Stage Management.
