Welcome to Sunstone Theatre

Romeo & Juliet

August 9th-17th at Trillium Creek Training and Rehabilitation Coalition

We’re more than entertainment.

See what our actors have to say…

  • "Sunstone Theatre has created so many wonderful opportunities for me to learn and grow as a performer. It hosts a safe, friendly, and professional environment that encourages exploration and growth. I am so grateful to have been a part of two shows here, and to be a part of Sunstone’s mission to make theatre more accessible to all."

Eleanor Black, Alyse in Wonderland & Becoming

  • Since being a part of only one Sunstone project I have already been opened up to new opportunities. I met new people, made new experiences, and was noticed by other creators which opened new doors for me. Sunstone helps young actors find their footing in the professional theatre world.

    Cristina Purkey, Becoming

  • "Sunstone has been immensely helpful both as a creative outlet and as a first step into the world of professional theatre! Prior to auditioning for Sunstone, I had only ever been in school plays. It’s a very different world! The team here has really helped me come into my own as a performer and made me a lot more confident going forward."

Dominic Thompson, Alyse in Wonderland & Romeo & Juliet

  • About Us

Sunstone Theatre is a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering emerging theatre artists through professional, paid opportunities across all aspects of production. With a strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion, we aim to reflect our community by uplifting underrepresented voices and fostering artistic growth in a supportive environment.

  • Romeo & Juliet

Come see the Montagues and Capulets ride into the American Frontier! Join them at Trillium Creek Training and Rehabilitation Coalition in Wilsonville—a Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries-accredited "forever home" for 11 senior therapy horses—for a unique outdoor performance of Romeo & Juliet. Pack a picnic to enjoy in the serene orchard pasture, meet the horses, and experience the timeless tale of two young lovers torn apart by family rivalry, reimagined on the Western plains.

  • Past Productions

At Sunstone Theatre, our past productions reflect our commitment to bold storytelling, emerging voices, and innovative stagecraft. Each show is an opportunity for young artists to grow professionally while creating meaningful, thought-provoking work. From original student-written plays to immersive adaptations of beloved classics, our productions aim to inspire, challenge, and connect with our community.
